Our mission is to create a sustainable and effective learning environment by strengthening the agricultural foundation of San Gabriel, providing classroom goals, accessibility for volunteers and needs based fundraising.

Project Goals







Collaborate to develop an onsite kitchen that will be used to prepare breakfast and lunch for San Gabriel Students.


Collaborate to build a solar oven that will be used to prepare food for San Gabriel Students.


Create a functioning greenhouse to provide sustainability for San Gabriel.

Build a bathroom for student use complete with a flushing (or a compost-able) toilet and sink for washing hands and brushing teeth. 

Create a basic curriculum/program for the use of the volunteers and teachers that is based on specific skills needed to be successful in first grade.

Create a volunteer manual enabling people to begin working in an organized and effective way.

Create a volunteer application/profile.

Rebuild the roof of the school's green house. (Completed November 18)

Build a gutter system to collect rain water for the greenhouse project and for cleaning the school. (Completed on December 9)

Simplify the school's Web site in order to make it easier to navigate for volunteers, donors and interested parties.

Apply for Omprakash Granto help with housing and transportation costs. (Submitted November 12)

Encourage volunteerism by networking with fellow travelers, soliciting support from outside organizations, utilizing web based advertising and acting as a mediator between the project and interested parties.
Provide school supplies as needed.

Plant a potato garden to provide food for San Gabriel's students and their families. (Completed on December 2)

Encourage local support by holding food drives and reaching out to businesses to help collect recyclable items
